King Green targets Terrance McKinney at International Fight Week on July 11

The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has solidified its International Fight Week lineup by adding a lightweight clash between King Green and Terrance McKinney to UFC 329. The bout will take place on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at the T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada.

This addition bolsters a card headlined by the welterweight return of Conor McGregor, who faces Max Holloway in his first appearance since 2021.

King Green, who legally changed his name from Bobby Green in July 2024, is set to make his 31st walk to the UFC Octagon. At 39 years old, the veteran is maintaining a high level of activity, with the July date marking his third appearance of 2026.

He enters the contest on the strength of back-to-back finishes this year, including a second-round TKO of Daniel Zellhuber in February and a first-round submission of Jeremy Stephens in May.

Terrance McKinney, known as \”T Wrecks,\” brings his own reputation for rapid violence to the T-Mobile Arena. The 31-year-old holds the record for the fastest knockout in UFC lightweight history at just seven seconds. McKinney has recorded 17 first-round finishes in his career, with eight of his professional victories coming in under a minute.

He recently secured a 24-second TKO victory over Kyle Nelson in March.

Green looking to build on recent momentum

The Californian veteran has remained remarkably effective despite his long tenure, holding a professional record of 31-15-1. Since December 2025, Green has secured three victories, only stumbling against Mauricio Ruffy in March 2025. His recent win over Jeremy Stephens at UFC 328 was particularly decisive, ending via rear naked choke in the first round after Stephens missed weight for the contest.

UFC officials have noted Green’s willingness to stay active by granting him custom-designed fight shorts for the International Fight Week event. This appearance will further extend his legacy in the 155-pound division, where he has been a fixture since making his promotional debut in 2013.

The high-stakes nature of the summer card aligns with major events in other sports, such as the competitive shifts seen at the Miami Open and Aintree.

Green’s style—characterized by low-handed defense and technical boxing—will be tested by McKinney’s explosive power. While Green has shown he can finish on the ground as well as the feet, his primary goal will be navigating the dangerous opening minutes that have defined his opponent’s career.

A win here would move Green closer to the elite tier, much as other middleweight contenders are currently jostling for position in their respective divisions.

McKinney chasing consistency in the lightweight ranks

For Terrance McKinney, the bout with Green offers a chance to secure a win against one of the most experienced names in mixed martial arts. McKinney’s UFC record stands at 8-5, with a career predicated on finishing fights early rather than relying on the scorecards. His March victory over Kyle Nelson helped him rebound from a December 2025 loss to Chris Duncan.

The Spokane native utilizes a switch stance and aggressive strikes that have led to nine knockouts and nine submissions throughout his career. However, his cardio and durability have been under scrutiny when opponents survive his initial onslaught. Facing a veteran who has seen nearly every look in the cage presents a unique tactical hurdle for the heavy-hitting prospect.

A victory for McKinney would likely push him toward a main card slot later in the year. The lightweight landscape is currently crowded with talent, including the likes of Paddy Pimblett and Benoît Saint Denis, who are also scheduled to compete on the UFC 329 card. Much like

UFC 329 event logistics and schedule

UFC 329 is the centerpiece of International Fight Week, which also includes the 2026 UFC Hall of Fame induction ceremony on July 9. The event at T-Mobile Arena is expected to draw a massive crowd, with entry-level tickets reportedly carrying high price tags due to the McGregor-Holloway main event.

Fans traveling to the venue must adhere to a strict bag policy, which prohibits all bags except for small clutches.

Broadcasting for the event will be handled primarily through Paramount+ and UFC Fight Pass. The early prelims start at 2:00 PM PDT, followed by the prelims at 4:00 PM PDT. The main card, featuring the welterweight debut of Max Holloway against the returning Conor McGregor, is scheduled for 6:00 PM PDT.

All entry into the arena will be managed via mobile ticketing on the AXS app.

The full UFC 329 card has been bolstered by several significant matchups beyond the Green vs. McKinney fight. The lineup includes bantamweight contenders Cory Sandhagen and Mario Bautista, as well as a heavyweight clash between Gable Steveson and Elisha Ellison. This concentration of high-level talent ensures that UFC 329 remains the most anticipated mixed martial arts event of the summer calendar.
