UFC Bantamweight Champion Sean O’Malley plans to steal the headlines from Canelo Alvarez. Sean O’Malley plans to do this with a ‘viral knockout’ over Merab Dvalishvili at Noche UFC. However, it will have to battle Canelo Alvarez who will be fighting on the same day.
Sean O’Malley Confident He Will Out Shine Canelo Alvarez
UFC Noche’s main event will feature the UFC bantamweight champion Sean O’Malley going up against Merab Dvalishvili. This fight will happen on Saturday 14th September at ‘The Sphere’ in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Also fighting this weekend just down the street, is a boxing fight between Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez and Edgar Berlanga. This fight will be happening at the T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas, Nevada.
Sean O’Malley went onto this YouTube channel and commented on his fight against Merab Dvalishvili by saying;
“I’m so excited for this fight. I wasn’t actually very excited for the Aljo (Aljamain Sterling) fight. I was like, stressed about that fight. Just because my rib (injury), my training camp wasn’t the best. It was good for what we had. And then it’s like, this is hard.”
The current champion went on to continue by saying;
“This fight, I’m feeling good as f*ck. I love this match up. He’s got a ten-fight win streak. It’s a big fight. It’s at the Sphere. It’s in competition with boxing, which is just kinda an extra little layer.”
Sean O’Malley knows exactly who is coming out of UFC 306 as the victor:
“When it comes to Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, who are they talking about? Are they talking about Canelo? Are they talking about the boxing fight? Or are they talking about the absolute dominating, beautiful, masterful, masterclass performance that I put on Merab and the viral knockout that came with it? Or are they talking about a 36-minute Canelo boxing fight that was kinda fire?”
Sean O’Malley finished up by saying he would be the one to steal the headlines on September 14.
“That’s what excites me. It’s the competition of who are they talking about Sunday, Monday, Tuesday? Who who stole the headlines? Me!”
Sean O’Malley will firstly have to look to defeat Merab Dvalishvili. This will be Sean O’Malley’s 2nd title defence. Meanwhile, down the road Canelo will have to make sure he is able to get past his opponent if either men are going to steal the headlines. If neither fighter is able to do their part then someone else may step up and and steal the show. This in short is something neither fighter is wanting to happen.
