TALLAHASSEE, Fla. –– Florida A&M football is coming off one of their most historic seasons after finishing 12-1 for the second time in program history, winning their 16th HBCU National Championship and enter the season ranked 25th in the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Preseason Top 25.
The Rattlers earned 71 points and one first-place vote. The Rattlers are also the only HBCU to make the AFCA Top 25. The Rattlers finished the 2023 season ranked 10th in the AFCA Top 25.
The Rattlers open the season in 11 days versus Norfolk State in the MEAC/SWAC Challenge. The Rattlers will face the Spartans in week zero for the first time since the 2019 season.
