Former Penn State quarterback Trace McSorley has reportedly found himself back in the NFL.
The Washington Commanders signed McSorley on Wednesday after quarterback Sam Hartman injured his shoulder, giving the former Nittany Lion a chance to play Saturday against the Miami Dolphins.

The news was first reported by Grant Paulson and confirmed by others.
The Commanders mark McSorley’s sixth NFL team. The quarterback has previously played for the Baltimore Ravens, Arizona Cardinals, New England Patriots, Chicago Bears and Pittsburgh Steelers.
He’ll reunite with offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury, who coached him with the Cardinals.
Across his big league career, McSorley has accumulated 502 passing yards and one touchdown.
