Korea’s clothing manufacturer Hansae partnered with the Korea American Football Association (KAFA) to support and raise awareness of American football in Korea.
Under the partnership, the clothing company will provide uniforms for the national team for both men and women. It will also create an American football league for amateurs.
The two companies signed a memorandum of understanding at Hansae’s headquarters in Yeouido, western Seoul on Tuesday.
“Support from global company Hansae will be of much help when we are preparing to participate in the Los Angeles Olympics in 2028 where flag football was selected as an official sports category,” said Ryu Ho-jung, chairman of KAFA.
“We will actively cooperate with Hansae to expand base of American football in Korea and successfully advance into the Olympics.”
Kim Ik-hwan, vice chairman of Hansae, was appointed as the director of a preparatory committee for Korea’s flag football team for the L.A. Olympics at the Tuesday event.
Kim will roll out various supportive activities for Korea’s national flag football team to advance to the L.A. Olympics.
