SALT LAKE CITY– On Sunday, Lynne Roberts and her Utah Women’s Basketball program picked up a huge commitment from five-star point guard Leonna Sneed!
According to ESPN, Sneed is the No. 26 ranked player in the 2025 class. She also chose to commit to the Utes over Arkansas and California among others.

Who is La Sneed?
Sneed is a 5-foot-6 guard out of Karen Wagner High School in San Antonio, TX. She has played in 90 varsity games over the last three seasons and has led her teams to a 78-22 record in those games.
She holds career averages of 19.8 points, 7.2 rebounds, 5.8 assists, and 4.1 steals per game. She’s converted 46% from the field, 33% from 3-point range, and 65% from the free throw line.
Utah Women’s Basketball 2025 Recruiting Class
Thanks to their recent success on the hardwood, Utah has seen an uptick on the recruiting trail. Sneed joins fellow blue-chip prospect Avery Hjelmstad- who is also considered a four-star and No. 48 overall player according to ESPN.
