The organizers of the Ellesse Pro Tennis Challenge have shuffled the tournament’s lineup after three players withdrew because of injuries, it was announced Wednesday.
Professionals Kyrian Jacquet, Michael Zheng and Arthur Cazaux have withdrawn from the event.
In their place, organizers added Ryan Harrison, Alexis Galarneau and Holden Koons.
This will be Harrison’s third time playing in the event. He is a former ATP top 40 player.
Galarneau, from Canada, is ranked 226th in the world and will be making his debut in the Reading tournament.
Koons is playing for the second time in the Ellesse event. The York native played at Wake Forest and James Madison.
Also in the tournament are Jon Choinski from Great Britain, ranked 223rd in the world, New Zealand’s No. 1 player KP Pannu and Felix Corwin, ranked 521st.
Play begins at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Emkey Tennis Garden.
The event, presented by the Berks County Tennis Association will benefit City of Reading (COR Tennis) program through Reading Recreation Commission for scholarships for underserved youth tennis players.
This is the 5th year of the event with past champions being Denis Kudla (2020), Makund Saisikumar (2021), Sumit Nagal (2022), Fillip Misolic (2024).
